Nefeles Suites

The staff really tried their best, and the location is quite good, near several trails and the cute village of Levidi. I wanted to give the place a better rating, but there were too many problems to overlook. Most seriously, we had no hot water in the shower during the evenings and nights. The advertised “Jaccuzi” was just a small bath, and hot water was a problem there too. They also asked for an extra 20 Euro per person to use the sauna. The rooms are very nice, but the place seems unsure whether it’s a hotel or an Airbnb. The breakfast groceries delivered to the room were extremely basic, and there was hardly any kitchen gear for making food. No proper knife or cutting board, no bowls, and no decent-sized pots or pans. We managed somehow, but I expected more from a place like this.

Our room, the Corinthian, was well stocked, and the staff were excellent. The setting is exceptionally quiet and clean. We loved everything at Ostra so much that we extended our stay to spend longer in the area. Highly recommended.

Birdsong was the only sound during our perfect weekend among beautiful fir trees. We had a stunning view of Mt. Mainalon from spacious rooms equipped with everything we could need, and breakfast in the room was a nice extra. The owner was remarkably kind when I called to reserve, and the couple working at the suites were just as kind and made sure we had a great stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place for a quiet break from city noise and chaos, or for anyone visiting the E4 trail.

Ostra Suites is in a peaceful spot at the foothills of Mainalo Mountain, and it’s an easy two-hour drive from Athens. Breakfast could be better, but I’d happily stay here again.
