Aglaida Hotel

The place has a lovely family atmosphere, and that mattered a lot to us. The manager is a wonderful woman, always available, with an amazing smile. She helped us contact the places we wanted to visit, checked details with locals in their language, wrote everything down, gave advice, and listened. The technical manager helped us a lot as well. I want to thank them for four wonderful days. The pool is great, the view from there is amazing, and having iced coffee by the pool was a real treat. It was also nice to have a basic but good breakfast, which you can eat by the pool. We could use the pool to relax before or after a trip, in the morning, midday, or evening. Rooms were regularly cleaned and kept tidy. The place has its own peaceful atmosphere. There are some downsides: the rooms are a bit outdated, the air conditioners could be newer, and the wireless internet is weak and sometimes disconnects. Bring a small kettle, coffee, milk, a spoon, forks, and a knife if you want to make coffee in the room, since those aren't provided. There is an electric stove. Also, arrive with a full tank of gas. Distances between places can be considerable, and there are almost no gas stations available 24/7, or sometimes any at all. The hotel is a five-minute drive from the town center, where there are quite a few restaurants, some of them good.

It was magical to unwind in nature, with the pool, forest, and fantastic beaches. The location and service were just right for a restful stay.

We found this hotel/apartment as a last chance during our summer trip in Hellas, without booking ahead. I had planned on a double room apartment, but the owner showed me a single room, which was more than enough and a sensible choice. The sea view was truly amazing, and my toddler had loads of space to walk around. It may not be the place for someone looking for perfection and luxury, but honestly, you don't need that to feel really at home. We were blown away by the place and the hospitality. If something isn't what you expected, just tell the staff. We were demanding guests: my baby was teething and sick, my girlfriend fell down the stairs with him, we were picky eaters, had a huge van, and went through lots of towels. They handled everything like a big, friendly, helpful family. We left completely satisfied and hoping to be back as soon as possible. A special mention to Katerina at reception, the room service guy, and the cleaning ladies!
