The family who run Ragia studios are wonderful, and we’ve chosen to stay there for almost 20 years. The rooms are simple but lovely, and we sleep peacefully because everyone respects the quiet hours. The pool is great, and the tavern serves delicious food and a very good breakfast. They never let us down. I definitely recommend it.

We loved how welcoming and family-run Ragia Studios feels. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped, and the pool is spotless, with space for both adults and children. At the restaurant, the homemade food is delicious and fairly priced, always served with a smile. Nights are quiet, while shops, bars and restaurants are close by. The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the place offers excellent value for money. I’d happily return and can wholeheartedly recommend Ragia Studios.

We were satisfied with the stay and would come back. We got what we expected for the price, maybe even a little more. The owner was warm and greeted us with a big smile whenever he saw us. The food we tried, gyros, pasta bolognese and souvlaki, was good and probably among the cheapest in town, with fairly good quality. It can take a bit longer to prepare, so allow time if you’re in a hurry. The owner's daughter, probably 10 to 12 years old, worked there every day. She was well behaved, quick, and spoke English better than the other staff. The main problem was the poor Wi-Fi. Our tour guide initially said the internet was bad everywhere, but later we found it worked pretty well in other cafes and restaurants, even at the hospital. My boyfriend bought roaming data and had to top it up two or three times, since he used it most of the time at the hotel. The apartment had everything we needed: a fridge, small stove, little terrace and a rack or wire for drying clothes. The mattress wasn’t the worst, but it needs replacing. It had a sort of hollow, and I kept sliding to one side. The place was very clean when we arrived, which mattered a lot to us. The pool was cleaned regularly, and during our 11 nights our towels were changed three times and the sheets once. We loved the pool and the peaceful nights. The terrace door seemed to block sound well: once closed, it was very quiet, even during the day when people and kids were at the pool or restaurant. Breakfast was included. There weren’t many choices, but enough for a normal morning meal; they could consider adding a few options next summer. Staff were welcoming and there were free sunbeds by the pool. One other downside was hearing staff argue loudly quite often.

With a 15-month-old, we felt completely looked after. The hosts adapted to our needs, and even provided a baby cot at no extra cost. The beach is only about five minutes away, too. I’m fairly sure people paying much more for fancy hotels don’t get this kind of value, because the hosts are so amazing. The host is full of energy from early morning until practically midnight, or whenever the last person leaves the shared areas. He keeps smiling, never seems tired, and is always looking for ways to make things better for guests. The family has hospitality down to an art. The restaurant, pool and rooms are spotless, and the food is delicious, affordable and comes in huge portions. I was full from the appetizers alone, and the menu has a lot to choose from. Highly recommend this place for a family holiday.

The apartments were lovely and had thoughtful extras like soap, a tea towel, olive oil, wine and sweets. The shower was great, and there was a hairdryer in the room. Towels were changed every day. The pool was really nice and kept clean and tidy, and the food was excellent. A really nice place to stay.
