The host was friendly and tried to help, but that didn’t make up for the poor hygiene. On our last night, bed bugs came out of the bed. It was shocking and unacceptable, and we were still itchy days later. The whole stay was stressful and felt like a serious health risk, so I strongly recommend avoiding this apartment for your safety and comfort. The photos online gave a very different impression. As soon as we entered, there was a strong old wood smell. The sheets didn’t seem freshly changed, the towels were damp and unpleasant, and the bathroom was in very poor shape. The windows were dirty, some with visible mold, and the little wardrobe was nearly falling apart, with old blankets and pillows tossed inside. The kitchen was another letdown: limescale everywhere, disorganized, and without basics like pots or glasses. Mosquitoes made it impossible to sleep at night. Parking was also difficult because the area wasn’t maintained, and we often had to look for a free spot on the street.

Pedro was an easygoing, pleasant host who gave us all the information we needed, including advice on the island’s best beaches. He even found us cheaper cruise tickets than the price we saw on Booking.com, which was double. The place was clean, and the bedding was changed every three days, while other places we’ve stayed only changed it every ten. It’s a great base for seeing the island’s highlights. Lidl and the first beach are both about a ten-minute drive away. The accommodation is in the middle of a small town, with a restaurant and little market downstairs. We highly recommend it! 🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸

The garden was lovely, with flowers and lemon and orange trees. Filoxenia pension was clean, welcoming, and had everything we needed. It had all been freshly painted, and the care showed. Pedro is a very nice man. You can drive to the old city easily, and the sea is close too. There’s also a restaurant, market, and bakery nearby.

We had a really nice stay here with friends. The rooms were always clean, the place was relaxed, and the location was good. There are bakeries, markets, and taverns right by the hotel. Pedro, the owner, is cool, nice, and super friendly.

The place was spotless, and the welcome when we arrived was great and helpful. The location was perfect, close to the beach, supermarkets, and restaurants, and not far from Lefkada. Pedro, the owner, is a lovely man.
