Villa Ionion Theasis

The setting is the best part: wide open sea views, a decent pool for cooling off, and a small wild beach you can reach by a steep walk of about 20 minutes or a 5-minute drive. Tsoukalades is just a couple of minutes away for a quick bite, and Lefkada town is around 15 minutes. Most of the well known beaches are within an hour by car. The terrace has a gas grill, great for a sunset barbecue with friends. The villa has the usual amenities, and the A/C works as long as you keep the doors and windows shut. There were some frustrating bits. The Wi-Fi was unreliable and at times unusable, so watching a movie at night wasn’t really an option. The TV is very small for this price. The bedroom setup is unusual too: one room is at pool level in a semi-basement, while the upstairs sleeping area is an open loft connected to the living space. It’s fine if you want to be together, but there isn’t much privacy. We had to ask for extra basics like detergent pods, trash bags, and toilet paper, which shouldn’t have been a scavenger hunt at this rate. The pool’s gradual slope works for lounging but makes proper laps awkward, and diving isn’t possible. The jacuzzi was temperamental and didn’t work properly during our stay. A good base for the views, location, and terrace time with friends, if you can live with some rough edges in the tech and layout. Bring a hotspot or offline downloads, ask for extra supplies on the first day, wear sturdy shoes for the beach path, and plan a sunset grill session.
