Varkiza Luxury Residence

The host was nice, but the apartment had quite a few things that weren’t in good condition. The beds were really uncomfortable, the sheets had stains, and the air-conditioning was loud.

It was easy to find parking, and the place wasn’t too noisy. The main road is about 10 minutes away, so you can get to different parts of Athens from there. The accommodation itself was the nicest place I’ve stayed in Athens: clean and comfortable, with a lot to like. I’d happily stay again since I’ll need to visit the capital several more times for obligations. A big thumbs up from me. I highly recommend it, and hope they keep the quality and price at this level. People who appreciate that balance will keep choosing it. Well done, and congratulations!

I ended up canceling after what happened. I’d called to ask whether, as an exception, we could check in at 1:30 PM, but never got a response. We were already in the area and had been given codes, so we assumed no news was good news and tried the room. The previous tenant’s belongings were still there, even though we later learned they were supposed to leave by 11:00 AM. When I called again, they suggested we leave our things somewhere safe, but said we’d be responsible if anything was stolen. We told them that would be the last straw if our belongings went missing. The administrators called that bad manners. They’d ignored our earlier requests about checking in sooner, but now decided they needed to give us a telling-off. The accommodation itself was unacceptable too. The outside door wouldn’t close, and the area around the supposed pool was completely neglected. When we went there, all the neighborhood kids were swimming in it. With all due respect, never again.

We spent such relaxing afternoons on the terrace, and the amazing view made them unforgettable. The apartment was comfortable, wonderful, and fully equipped. Our hosts were so kind and always ready to help with anything we needed. Thank you so much. We highly recommend it!
