Etheria Luxury Villas & Suites

We spent ages outside on the loungers beside the infinity pool, which seemed to run right into the horizon. From the hilltop deck, the Ionian Sea shimmered below and the island stretched out in front of us. The view was incredible. Inside, our spacious suite had a couch you could sink into, and the towels and sheets were incredibly soft. The host was always available, and our requests were answered almost instantly. We were bowled over as soon as we arrived at Etheria Luxury Villas & Suites. We can’t wait to come back.

The location in Agios Nikolaos suited us well. It was quiet and romantic, with local restaurants nearby and the rest of the island easy to explore. We spent a lot of time cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and using the terrace BBQ while the sun set over the Ionian Sea. The sunrises over the water from our terrace were beautiful. We also got engaged on this trip, and the setting was just right for that moment. We stayed in the Jasmine suite in June for our third anniversary, and it became the best accommodation experience we’ve had. The place felt completely private, like our own little world, with a large secluded terrace and an infinity pool. One side of the pool had jets and a waterfall flowing over the stone wall, and we spent hours on the big double sunbed right on the water. Dimitris, the manager, welcomed us with homemade olive oil from his father’s grove and honey from his mother. Both were delicious and gave the stay a lovely Greek touch. We could ask for nearly anything by text, from a private chef or boat tour to restaurant delivery. We’re already thinking about coming back. Etheria had the privacy, service, and views we were hoping for.

Dimitris described the view as a moving picture, and we loved watching the boats come and go. The Jasmine suite was beautiful, and the island and suite both deserved five stars, but it was the service that made me write this review. After a 24-hour travel day, arriving somewhere unfamiliar can feel stressful. Dimitri greeted us with a smile and grapes, honey, espresso, wine, and olive oil, which we finished quickly. He checked in often, and the cleaners did a great job every day. The pool attendant kept the pool in perfect shape too. The pool heating wasn’t on when we arrived, but Dimitris sent someone over within 20 minutes and by the next day it was just right. We were glad to have warm water in breezy September, since we wanted to spend as much time in the pool as possible. We also went exploring a lot and ordered delivery when we wanted to stay in, which worked out well. My grandmother had asked for a postcard from Greece. Since it was Sunday and I wasn’t sure how to mail it from another country, Dimitris sent it for us on our last day. It reached her in America without a problem. He really seems to be on call around the clock. The location was perfect too.

Dimitris did everything he could to make our stay special. The villa was modern and lovely, with a layout that made it easy to relax, and the sunrise views were a highlight every morning. It was such a peaceful escape, five stars all around.
