Lithies Hotel

Matina was our main contact, and her friendly, helpful approach made the stay comfortable, memorable, and worthwhile. The grounds around the property are beautiful, the hotel is tastefully done, and the rooms are clean and spacious. From the terrace, the sea view is terrific. There’s a pool and hot tub, which would be great if you’re staying longer. We were so close to the sea, though, that we spent most of our time swimming in those lovely blue waters. Just book it.

The sea-facing pool was beautiful and clean, and the view from our window was unbelievable. The whole hotel has a magical feel, with lovely decoration throughout, and it's set amid beautiful nature. The staff were excellent, friendly, and very helpful. It’s a lovely quiet place for families, couples, or friends who want to enjoy Greek nature. There’s a small port nearby where you can take a boat to the Blue Caves and Shipwreck Beach.

We liked how much quieter the north was compared with the busy, touristy southern villages like Laganas and Tsilivi. The north doesn’t have as much infrastructure, but that was part of its appeal. You’ll need a car to get around. If you want somewhere charming and picturesque, it’s worth it. The pool is lovely, the balconies have wonderful sea views, and the village of Agios Nikolaos is only five minutes away by car. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. The bathroom is small, though it wasn’t a major problem for us.

We enjoyed our stay despite a few things that could be better. The check-in staff seemed cold and unenthusiastic, and the kitchen and bathrooms felt older and short on equipment. On the plus side, the location was handy for Agios Nicolas, Shipwreck Beach, and restaurants, and the ocean views from the balcony were lovely. Matina, the owner, was amazingly kind.
