Getting around was the main drawback. It’s a bit remote, and a taxi into the nearest town and back cost £70. We hired a car for the last three days, which made it much easier to explore. We visited in October, near the end of the season, so shops and restaurants were closing each day and there was less choice. The family room itself was lovely, with its own pool, though the beds felt a little too hard for us. Staff were really good, especially Yanis, who was still constantly on the go at 70. We did overhear a couple of heated arguments between the family who run the business. The cleaner was lovely, always smiling and doing her job perfectly. Breakfast was alright, and the other food we tried was very nice and reasonably priced. All in all, we had a good holiday.

It was such a welcoming place, and everyone was kind to us and adored our little girl. Huge thanks to Yanis and all the staff, they couldn’t have done more. We stayed in the gorgeous family suite, and the cleaning staff came by daily to ask if we needed anything or wanted the room cleaned. The weather wasn’t the best, but that’s to be expected at the end of the season. The quiet rural setting was exactly what we needed to unwind. If you visit this time of year, you’ll definitely want a rental car: there’s no public transport after 30 September, and taxis can add up. We can’t wait to return.

The building is new and the location is the one thing that saved this stay for us. I really wanted to give it five stars and expected to feel the same as other visitors, but sadly I didn’t. After a long journey, we arrived at 5 pm and were told our rooms weren’t ready, so we waited in blistering heat. Our rooftop room’s “whirlpool” jacuzzi was dirty. When we asked for it to be cleaned, we waited a day, then it was left empty for three days. There’s very little shade around the pool, with only eight sunbeds to go around. The man behind the bar seemed to have checked out, with little enthusiasm or drive. We felt guilty asking for a drink because it interrupted his time on his phone. Breakfast only starts trickling out around 10:15 am, which isn’t great with hungry kids who wake early. There is a hotel restaurant, but we couldn’t find any details about its hours, menu or offerings. When we finally tried to order, we were told the chef was off, leaving pizza and chicken nuggets as the options.

The pool area and the hotel’s clean, minimal style, with its stone details, made it a lovely place to unwind. Some suites even have private pools. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, with a high standard of daily cleaning. This is a small, family friendly hotel, and the staff work hard and are always ready to help with a smile. From the warm welcome to the attentive service at the bar in the morning and in the restaurant during the day, we felt well looked after. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend it. We’re looking forward to coming back.

It was an okay stay, though the apartments could be much better. They look stunning, but a few rooms were missing basic things. We had the rooftop hot tub, which was very small, really only enough space for two. Our friends upgraded to a room without a kitchen, which was a problem since we were self catering. The area is very quiet, so you’ll need a car to explore. The owner was a bit pushy about eating at the rooftop restaurant. The food was good, but the menu was limited and got repetitive after a few days.
