Hotel Grand Nefeli

The staff were always smiling and lovely, which made the stay even nicer. My room at Grand Nefeli Hotel was bright and clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything felt fresh. I really enjoyed my time there and would happily come back.

The breakfast was a highlight, with fresh local ingredients and traditional Greek dishes to choose from each morning. The central location made it easy to get around, and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They made us feel like family and added a real sense of Greek hospitality to our stay. The rooms were clean and functional, though they could be more modern and comfortable. Given the very reasonable price, the value was excellent, and the authentic atmosphere helped make up for those smaller shortcomings. We had a pleasant stay and will definitely return. A good choice for an affordable, authentic experience with a handy location and great service.

The location was very good, and the service on the beach was fine, although we didn't like being told off for having coffee from another restaurant. The hotel is old, and the owners need to consider renovating its neglected equipment, especially since there are better hotels nearby. Reception was a mess. We stayed for two weeks. The sleeping area was pleasant, but the bedspread was dirty. The kitchenette needs updating, particularly the cooker, which I wouldn't feel safe using to cook. The bathroom was badly neglected: rust, mould and heavy scale in the shower, a door coming off, and a basin that wouldn't drain properly. The air conditioning didn't work for the first three days. A new unit was installed only because our travel agency representative stepped in. After we'd paid for a two-week holiday, they tried to check us out after one week without checking the system. A week before leaving, we arranged and paid cash to extend the final night until 6 p.m., but got no confirmation and the receptionist wouldn't take a card. On our last day, he struggled to remember the arrangement and asked for proof of payment. After talking, he seemed to accept it, but when we returned from the beach, our room had been released in the system and we couldn't get in. We went back to reception, reminded him we'd paid for the extra time, and he let us back in. When we returned the keys before going to the airport, he again made us explain when and how we'd paid, and who was there. Only then did he check his notebook and find the note. He never apologized for the mistake.

Parking is very close to the hotel, so leaving the car was easy. The rooms were clean but could use some renovation. A solid choice if you want affordable rates and friendly service.
