Dream House

The sea is close by, and the terrace and view are lovely. There's also a great tavern nearby with the best pizza I ate, highly recommend it. The house was a letdown, though. It's worn out, the kitchen appliances didn't work properly, and with ten of us we had to wait three days for a working dishwasher. Several door handles fell off, and the rooms weren't very clean, with someone else's hair on the sheets and floor. Worst of all, cockroaches came up through the shower drain. The property managers tried to deal with the issues quickly, but didn't think compensation was warranted. A proper check before we arrived could have caught a lot of this. We wasted time hunting for the internet password because the house rules with the password were kept somewhere else, and they might also have noticed the grill gas was empty. When we got the keys, nobody explained important things, like that the boiler is behind a painting and needs to be turned on for hot water, then switched off when other devices are running. For what we paid, this wasn't acceptable, and I wouldn't recommend the place.
