We came to see the historic sites, and the location was perfect. The breakfast costs extra, but it can make you happy, and the staff were helpful and smiling. The owner even carried our heavy bags to the room. The room was acceptable, though there were some problems: the air conditioning didn’t heat properly, the hot water was cold, and there were about six to eight brown and green stink bugs in the room. The Wi-Fi wasn’t usable in the room either.

There’s no breakfast, but there is a taverna downstairs that serves a good lunch, and parking is free. The rooms are large, and the landlady is friendly and speaks English and German. It’s a delightful place to stay in Vergina, very handy for the Royal Tombs and the Ancient Theatre and Palace. There’s a shortcut through the garden to the theatre and palace.

The older couple who run the place were so friendly and helpful. They even got up early to make us coffee and hot cocoa when we were the only guests there. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location is perfect for visiting Vergina. It’s at the edge of town with beautiful views, within walking distance of the main sites and the village center with its shops and restaurants. The museum is the exception, about a five-minute drive away.
