The location is close to lots of shops and eateries, and it stays very quiet at night. Google Maps lists this older hotel as two stars, though I think that’s far too low. It’s been upgraded with many new amenities. The bathrooms are terrific, if small. There’s no place to eat breakfast, but they bring it to your room. It poured on our first night and we had a slight leak. The next day, the staff insisted on moving us to a suite. That’s service above and beyond. Thumbs up.

The room was spacious and clean, and recently remodeled. The exterior fits seamlessly with the surrounding area. The hotel sits in the Jewish quarter, near the historic Greek area. It’s easy to explore the historic sights on foot from here, and there are plenty of nearby cafes for a rest.

This boutique hotel is a lovely example of Greek hospitality, without being pretentious. The room was modern and fully functional, which really helped us relax. Breakfast was really tasty, and Anastasia was the perfect hostess. The location was perfect too.

The neighborhood was a lovely bonus, with cute coffee shops nearby, and dinner at Attitude Mygdalia was excellent. We stayed one night at Olganos in Veria and really liked the clean, comfortable room and its design. Since we arrived in the evening, the host was welcoming and quick to respond by phone and WhatsApp. We’ll keep it on our favorites list for another trip.

The breakfast service was a real highlight. The woman serving it took care of our whole family, including the kids and grandparents, and was superb. We also found parking straightforward, the locals friendly, and the restaurants very nice. We’d been a little nervous after seeing some of the view photos, but there was no need: this little gem sits in the historic cobbled Jewish quarter, right opposite the synagogue, and it’s an easy walk to where Paul preached. Well worth visiting.
