Christoforos Apartments

This place turned out to be a lovely little surprise. It was a last-minute booking, and two of the three balconies had stunning sea views, a nice spot to sit and watch the sun go down. The apartment was clean and just how you’d want it. Local restaurants and the supermarket “Petros” are a 10-minute walk away. Kefalonia is quiet and laid back, so it suits couples or families looking for peace and quiet. I wouldn’t call it a party island.

We’ve been coming here as a family for over nine years, and it still feels just perfect. The owners, Chris and Titi, are so friendly and help with any problems. The pool is kept very clean, with plenty of sun loungers, and the place is well located for shops and restaurants if you don’t mind a short walk. Rooms are all a bit different and quirky, with their own advantages. Each has a main room with a kitchen, two balconies and two sofas that convert into single beds, plus a bedroom with a double bed and balcony, and a bathroom. They’re a good size, serviced beautifully every two days, and all have great views. You can get to kanali beach along the road, but it’s VERY steep, with hardly any railing to hold onto, so it’s not for the faint-hearted or anyone less mobile. There’s no bar or sun loungers there, so bring towels and a LOT of sun cream. The water is beautiful, and the view going down is one of the best in kefalonia. My favourite local beach on the island is Trapezaki. It’s walkable but quite far in the heat, and taxis are fairly cheap here. The beach has a restaurant with great food, a well-stocked bar, and sun loungers you can rent. A harbour divides the beach in two. On the left the water is warmer, though quite rocky. The right side stays shallow for a long time and usually has no stones. The apartment is only half an hour from the island’s capital, argostoli. Hope you enjoy it if you decide to stay here :)

The apartment was comfortable and reasonably well equipped, with a lovely pool and sea view. That view is only from the first and second floors, not the ground floor. It’s a 30-minute drive from the airport, and there are good local tavernas, especially Spiros.

I had an amazing time here. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The hospitality was fantastic, and I’d come back to stay longer. Thank you for everything!
