Went with my school on our last trip and spent five days in Volos. It was pretty fun and a good time. With its high capacity, I'd say it's better for groups than families.

The location is the best thing about this place, very close to the port. The accommodation is basic and old, with little to expect. Internet was extremely slow, almost unusable, and breakfast was about as basic as it gets. I'd rate the cleanliness 3/5. Makes sense as a low-budget place to rest.

I was part of a group and didn't have a choice, but I wouldn't have stayed here if it were up to me. The staff were very impolite. When we asked to move rooms because of the noise, the receptionist gave us attitude and said there was no way to change rooms, instead of politely explaining that the hotel was full. The hotel is noisy, the rooms are outdated, and the glass in the balcony door was broken, as shown in the photo. The bed mattress and pillow were both very hard, and there were no sockets by the bed for charging a phone. The furniture looked as old as the hotel itself. Breakfast was extremely basic, and the heating was an air conditioner that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. There was a bathtub in the bathroom, and I wondered how older people could climb into it. They still use blankets instead of duvets. For what you pay, I guess you get what you get, but I wouldn't rate this as a three-star hotel. More like one star.

The location was good, but the beds were about as uncomfortable as they could be. We also found cockroaches in two of the rooms on the third floor.
