Hotel Jason

We had a really nice Christmas break here with my family, joking around and enjoying our time together. The staff were nice, and the rooms were clean and modern with a good view. The room we had to wait in was a bit dirty and old, though, which is why I gave service 4 out of 5, not because of the staff. The hotel is close to the beach and very clean overall 😃. It costs much less than it should, and it's definitely the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We had a great time, and you should come here with whoever you like 😇🏖🌊

We use The Jason Hotel in Volos for the one-night stop before and after our trips to Alonissos, and this was our fifth year in a row. It sits 300 metres from the ferry port, so it's very handy after flying into Volos airport and catching a cab. From here, ferries to Skiathos, Skopelos or Alonissos are easy to reach. The promenade nearby has plenty going on, so it feels like the holiday has started as soon as you arrive. Ask for a sea view if you can. Our room had a westward view, and there are also room views in the photos. It's a budget hotel with its own charm and no frills, but the bed is genuinely comfortable, the air-con works very well, and the slow, quiet setting means you can sleep without a draught. There's a fridge, and the furnishings are better quality than I'd expect at this price. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and the price hasn't changed in five years. This year, they also managed to get through the floods. We checked that they were open on 15 September, and they were, with the same standard as always. Highly recommended!

We ended up here for one night with our family of four after our ferry was cancelled without warning. The apartment felt cramped, and the fridge was noisy. The reception staff were helpful and suggested a beach where we could spend the day. The location is very convenient for the ferry, but there's no parking.

The building is old but well kept, and our room had a view of the port. It was very clean, with comfortable beds, and the staff were kind. We paid for a night with breakfast, then found out our ship would leave before breakfast was served. The receptionist kindly packed some food to go. It was simple but tasty, and the coffee was excellent. For what we paid, it was worth it as a place for a night or two.
