We stopped at the Magnes Hotel for a quick coffee and some local tips, and got a warm welcome along with generous suggestions for our travels around Volos. The staff had a great, professional enthusiasm. We also got to see the fairly new inner courtyard. The architecture was interesting, and though it’s in the middle of the city, it felt calm. The restaurant interior was cozy, modern, and seemed practical for the staff as well. A lovely visit. Consantina, Anastasia and Dimitris, you’ve put Volos and the Magnes Hotel on the map in a way that makes you want to come back. Until next time!

We’re touring Greece, and Magnes has been the highlight hotel of our trip so far. The staff are responsive, and everything is clean and well appointed. Breakfast was very good too. Highly recommended. It’s a little away from the downtown bustle, which might be a bonus.

My favorite hotel of our Greece trip so far, which started in Sparti and is heading to instanbul. The rooms are large and clean, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the place feels fancy. Staff speak English well, and there’s laundry service with folding included. The showers are great, and the lobby bar opens out to both the outdoor pool and the street, which is nice on hot summer days. It’s very close to the harbor, with lots of restaurants nearby and historical significance connected to Jason and the argonaut.

It’s right in the heart of the city, close to the port and Volos’s busy restaurant area. The modern rooms are tidy and very clean, and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the restaurant has a great chef. The outdoor pool is a scenic spot to relax. For what they offer, the price feels too low. All in all, a great place to stay.
