I slept incredibly well here. The pillows were amazing, and even though my room faced the street and was a bit noisy at first, the soundproofing worked so well that it became very quiet after a while. The temperature was just right, and the hotel felt peaceful. The bathroom is clean but dated, particularly the shower, and could use renovation. The concierge was excellent, helping with recommendations and arranging activities. At the entrance, Greek sweets and traditional Christmas treats made things feel warm and welcoming. Breakfast had lots of choices and was regularly replenished. My only suggestion would be fresher or better-quality bread. I appreciated the complimentary touches in the room, including two bottles of water, tea, and a way to boil water for tea or coffee. Parking was easy to find outside, and I was told there was also underground parking. A comfortable, pleasant stay with thoughtful details and great service.

We stopped in Volos on a cruise, and while my husband ordered coffee in the lobby, I went to the front desk to ask for directions for a walk around the neighborhood. Nobody seemed willing to help. I waited for quite a while, then got the message and left. A hotel is in the hospitality business, and current or future visitors could become customers. Volos Palace Hotel seems to have a very different idea of how to present itself. If I come back to Volos, I will definitely avoid booking there.

The reception and bar-restaurant staff were excellent. My compliments. This is a lovely, well-preserved old, high-class hotel, and a reminder that old-fashioned quality still holds up even now.

We found it easy to settle in from the moment we arrived, thanks to the kind, attentive staff. My partner and I stayed five nights, and the whole time felt genuinely welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of fresh choices and a delicious start each morning. Having parking on site was another real convenience. Our room was spacious, clean, and had what we needed to rest well. The hotel itself was spotless, elegant, and very well cared for, with a calm, comfortable feel. Volos Palace felt like a place where people really looked after us. We left with lovely memories and would gladly return. I’d recommend it to anyone coming to Volos for a getaway or a longer holiday. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and I really enjoyed the tasty Greek food. The city is lovely, with plenty to see, and the hotel is in a great spot right in the middle of it all. The building is a little old, but it’s kept clean and in good shape. A nice choice if you want to be central and enjoy good food and friendly people, as long as you know the building isn’t new.
