The hotel’s public reply says my review wasn’t based on real events, which I find deeply disappointing. I’ve kept the emails and screenshots showing the prices during our exchange and can share them if needed. I was hoping for an open, respectful response, not a public attempt to discredit a guest over a documented inconsistency. This response has only strengthened my concern about how the hotel handles transparency and guest relations. We’d stayed here before and had a good experience, so this was a real letdown. When we contacted the hotel to book a Point of View Suite, we were quoted €920 with breakfast. Yet the hotel’s own website listed the same room at €882, also with breakfast and taxes included. When we politely raised the difference, we were told it was a currency conversion issue, although the website showed the price in euros. Soon afterward, the listing for that room was quietly changed to €955, which made the direct offer appear more favorable. We found the explanation evasive and the tone dismissive. There was no acknowledgment or gesture for returning guests. Hospitality depends on trust and transparency, not technicalities and reactive price changes.

Konstantina made our stay especially lovely. She was friendly, helpful, and knew the island well. We spent a wonderfully relaxing week here, and only wished we could have stayed longer. This was our second visit, and we hope to come back for a third, God willing. The hotel sits at the edge of the charming old town, with lovely views over both the town and the coast. Its rooms have stylish, clean modern lines without feeling fussy, and the bedding, shower fittings, and hot water were all very good. Breakfast was excellent, served on a delightful balcony overlooking the old town. It’s a great base for exploring the island and taking a break from the hurly-burly of life back in the UK.

We loved having places to lounge and enjoy the sunset, and the sea view from our room was lovely. Althea is beautifully designed, with comfortable rooms and a peaceful, oasis-like feel. The staff were kind and accommodating, and we enjoyed the breakfast. The old town location is convenient, though it isn’t right by a beach. Parking and a bus stop are close by, so it’s easy to get around the rest of the island. We hope to return.

That courtyard was such a pretty place to have breakfast, and it would be lovely if the little cafe also opened for cocktails. The location is great, tucked into the quaint town streets, with fantastic views. Astrofegia taverna next door was the best meal we had on the island, so that was very handy. Our room had a plunge pool, which was fantastic, and the view was stunning. It felt cosy, with a really comfortable bed and amazing pillows. The shower stayed powerful and hot, even during stormy weather. There were thoughtful extras too, including a hairdryer, slippers, coffee facilities, and mosquito tablets. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend!

The service was absolutely charming, and the location is hard to beat, right at the top of the hill by the entrance to the old town. We had a wonderful base for exploring the town. We fell in love with Alonissos this summer and added an extra night so we could spend more time in the old town. Since it wasn’t high season, we managed to get a last-minute room at Althea, and it was just perfect. The room was bright and beautiful, opening onto two patios. One had lovely views of the town, and the other looked across the sea to Skopelos. There’s a very nice cafe on the property, and breakfast was wonderful.
