Panayiotis Apartments

We’d been looking forward to this stay more than any other, so it ended up being our biggest disappointment. The apartment had spiders and ants, and basic things were missing: dish soap, complimentary water in the fridge, garbage bags and cleaning products. We also had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. The location is fabulous, and the beach itself was clean. The loungers were disappointing beside the neighbouring ones, though, and even as guests on the property we were charged an extra eight euros for chairs. Drinks had to be paid for right away instead of added to a tab. The card machine often didn’t work, so we had to go up the stairs to pay. Hospitality was mixed. The female owner was pleasant, friendly, very helpful and accommodating, and we really appreciated that. The elder gentleman was hard to deal with, and we often felt our presence wasn’t welcome. We usually went next door to Peroulia Hotel for meals, where the staff were warm and engaging. The only time we saw the elder man smile was at checkout. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
