Katikies Manis Suites

The rooms were spotless and had excellent air conditioning. Our suite had everything we needed to relax, including a great fridge and coffee machine, a stove, and coffee for making Greek coffee. The property is also ideally placed between Kardamyli and Stoupa. If you want to go drinking at night, there are taxi services in the area. Otherwise, a rental car is useful. We picked up wine and snacks at the supermarket in Stoupa and enjoyed them on the balcony at sunset. It was romantic, quiet, clean and completely relaxing. The father and son staff team deserve a special mention for being such a huge help, flexible with us, kind and welcoming. We’ll absolutely be back to Katikies Manis when we return to the area.

We stayed at Katikes Manis Suites in Kardamylli, and the visit left us wanting to return. Set high on a hill, our modern two-bedroom villa looked out over the turquoise waters of Dolphine Paralia, so peaceful it felt like a painting. The infinity pool was the highlight. Floating there at sunset with a glass of local wine was pure bliss. The villa felt both sleek and cozy, mixing natural stone and traditional touches with contemporary design. The rooms were spacious, thoughtfully decorated and opened onto a sunny terrace. Every detail seemed chosen with care, from the olive trees and authentic Mani stone villas to the gravity free beds, soft linens and luxurious bath products. Our hosts, Lambros and his dad, whose name I unfortunately forgot, were incredibly welcoming. He’s a lovely man with a wonderful heart, moved that people would travel from the other side of the world to stay there. They shared tips for local tavernas, hidden beaches and nearby walking trails, and made us feel more like locals than guests. They were gracious and humbled that we chose their establishment. It was more than a retreat, it felt like a renewal for mind, body and spirit.

My wife, kids and I loved every moment at Katikies Manis, and we can’t wait to return someday. It’s a magical property just 5 minutes from Kardamyli, with lovely living spaces and gorgeous Mediterranean Sea views that look just like the pictures. The owner is one of the nicest people you could meet. Spend some time with him and he’ll tell you how he moved here from Athens 20 years ago and got it all started. Between the sea, the air, the sun and the sunsets, it makes you want to leave the stress of big city life behind and stay for good.

The tavernas and supermarket were an easy drive away, and the staff were so helpful. We loved the peaceful setting and those amazing views. There’s a rocky path down for a swim, plus two other lovely beaches you can reach on foot or by car. Having the rooms cleaned every day was great. We enjoyed it so much we’re all planning to come back.
