Nefeli Apartments

We spent two lovely weeks at the Nefali apartments in August 2024. It’s a quiet complex of just 16 rooms, with no pool or bar, and a 10-15 minute walk from beaches, shops, and restaurants. The apartments are modern and beautifully clean, with lots of storage and coat hangers. The kitchen is compact, but has a small electric cooker with three rings, an oven and grill, plus a full-size fridge freezer about five feet tall. There are enough mugs, cutlery, glasses, and pans for the occasional meal. The shower is hot and powerful, the bed very comfortable, and the balcony is large with fantastic sea views. Built-in fly screens on all the windows and the sliding patio door let us keep them open at night without getting bothered by local insects. Air conditioning works well and costs 5 euros a night. There’s plenty of parking if you hire a car. We rented from Mani rentals in Stoupa, which was cheap and efficient, with free drop-off and collection at the apartments. The nearest supermarket is huge, about a five-minute walk away, roughly Tesco-sized, with everything you could want at local prices. Kalogria beach is about a 10-minute walk, while Stoupa, with its beaches, shops, and restaurants, is about 15 minutes away. One thing to know: there’s no pavement for the first 100 yards outside the apartments, so you have to use the dirt track beside the main road. After that, it’s an easy walk on pavement into town or to the beach. If you’re walking where there’s no pavement, face the oncoming traffic. We were there at the August peak season because my wife is a school teacher. Sunbeds in Stoupa ranged from free to 12 euros a pair. At Kalogria they jumped to 18-45 euros a pair, which we found crazy. I was reliably told those higher prices only apply in August, with normal prices in June, July, and September. We went to Kalogria twice, but after being so put off by the sunbed prices, we went into Stoupa for beach days instead. We had a wonderful holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Nefali apartments. Enjoy!

We had a lovely two weeks at Nefeli Apartments and were made to feel so welcome. The rooms were clean, roomy, and had beautiful beach views. My mum and brother stayed in Room 1, while my 'husband' and I were in Room 3. Our bridal party also got ready there before our 4pm wedding at Kalogria Beach on Saturday 25th May. The owner even gave us a wedding gift, which was such a kind surprise. Thanks for looking after us. We’ll be back to celebrate our anniversaries.

The staff were so sweet and helpful, and the location made everything easy to reach on foot, from supermarkets and the pharmacy to beaches, taverns, and cafés. We stayed at Nefelis apartments for a week in August 2021, felt completely safe, and had a lovely time. Our clean room had a nice view and it was peaceful around us. Everything we needed worked properly, including the hot water, air conditioning, fridge, kettle, cutlery, and pans. We’d happily come back again and again ❤️

You can reach the beach, restaurants, and bars in about a 15-minute walk. The rooms were really nice, and the balcony on the first floor came with fantastic views. Staff were very helpful, and it was excellent accommodation.
