Notos Hotel

We were really happy we picked Notos for our first visit to Kardamyli. The traditional stone houses sit among olive trees and flowers, and the place was very clean and pleasant. Ritsa beach and Kardamyli are both just two minutes away. Our room was big enough and cleaned every day, and the owner was friendly and helpful. A lovely surprise was having deck chairs on the balcony to enjoy the view.

The upstairs apartment is worth considering for the views, which really are worth the price. We absolutely loved staying at Notos. It was spotless, stylish, and had everything we needed, with the beach and village shops an easy walk away.

I haven't stayed here myself, though I've walked past many times, and from outside it looks lovely. I don't understand Ken Holmes's one-star review. He says himself that he's 'disabled', so it seems unwise to book a hotel some distance from the outstanding village of Kardamili, even if it isn't that far. Sorry, Ken, but in my opinion your review gives a misleading impression of both the hotel and the village.

Maria is a terrific, kind host, and the owners added personal touches that made the stay especially nice. Our apartment was comfortable and good quality. I also loved the lemons, as big as grapefruits, growing outside the window. With lovely bay views and an authentic take on the local architecture, Notos felt unique and appealing.
