Tasos Rooms

The beds were comfortable and cleanliness was okay, but the room was tiny and cramped. The bathroom smelled bad, the shower was very small, and the tap was broken. There was no ventilation, just a black hole, and in summer there wasn’t even a drying rack. The rooms need to be organized better. It felt like they’d been set up in a hurry to rent them out because the location is nice. The price was far too high for what was offered.

Avoid this place if you can.

I should have given this place zero stars. We knew the room was small, but there was nowhere to dry our swimsuits, the shower was tiny, and the sliding windows wouldn’t close, so the bathroom flooded. After a little rain that afternoon, water started dripping from the ceiling onto the bed 3-4 hours later. We’d already paid through booking, but the hotelier first told us to pay again directly. When we asked for a receipt, he seemed surprised. We also had to collect the key from somewhere else because he couldn’t be bothered to bring it to the nearby room. By the time we discovered the leak, it was midnight. I called to tell him we couldn’t sleep with water dripping onto the bed and would return to Athens, and asked for a refund for the one night we’d booked. He refused several times and said to contact booking. His passive response made it seem like he didn’t care about what I was telling him. He was unacceptable and unprofessional, and seemed concerned only about not losing money.

The location was the only good part. The room was dirty and badly maintained, with a narrow shower stall and salt water spraying uncontrollably from the taps. There was no furniture to set personal belongings on, and the only mirror was a small one in the bathroom. It lacked even basic amenities for a comfortable stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
