There’s no pool, but the small beach by Gialos Taverna is about a 10-minute walk away. The garden has some very sweet cats and a dog, and the hotel service was friendly throughout. We booked breakfast, which I’d recommend if you don’t want to carry groceries up the steps, though that’s no issue if you have a car. The hotel is above town, with 120 steps and a short walk down to Kardamili’s main street. Our room was a good size and very clean, and the bed was just right, neither too hard nor too soft. We felt welcome even before check-in: our luggage was collected downtown, and although we were meant to walk up, a very nice lady with a black Mazda 3 offered us a ride. It was a lovely, relaxing place with a beautiful view, and we had a really good stay.

The staff were patient and kind with our kids, and breakfast had good choices. Having a little kitchen in the room was handy, too. We had a wonderful stay at Vardia Hotel in Kardamyli and would definitely come back. The stone rooms fit in beautifully with the village and the natural surroundings, and ours was spotless, with an unforgettable view of the mountains and sea. Flowers and greenery all around made the place feel calm and peaceful. It’s quiet, affordable, and family-friendly, with a warm, authentic feel.

We’ll be back. The view is fabulous, the apartment has a well equipped kitchenette, and the staff go above and beyond. Love this hotel.

The garden and grounds feel like a hidden oasis, a lovely shady spot to sit with a coffee and pass the time. It’s a short walk to the town centre, and the hosts, Voula and Emma, are always up for a chat and very helpful. The rooms are fantastic, clean, well serviced, and comfortable. This should be at least a 3-4 star hotel. Thoroughly recommended.
