Under the Linden Tree Tinos

The Orange Grove cottage has a lovely terrace looking up the valley towards Exomvourgo mountain. We felt very well cared for by Evangelia and the team, who brought thoughtful touches like garden produce, the estate’s own olive oil, and fresh flowers in the rooms. Evangelia also communicated well and had great tips for the island. The setting feels rural and close to nature, while the cottage still has the amenities and comfort you’d expect. A special place, and one we’d strongly recommend.

We stayed in the oak tree cottage, and it had everything we needed, including homemade marmalade, fresh bread and eggs, local butter, and some of the best tea I’ve had, made from the linden tree. The view was amazing, and the cottage was decorated with care. Under the Linden Tree gave us a different side of a Greek island holiday: it sits inland, looking across a valley dotted with Tinos’s little white and blue villages, and faces the sunrise if you’re up early enough. The welcome was warm from the start right through to goodbye. It’s a place that respects nature and lives in harmony with it, with an ecological approach. A lovely spot to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and hike in season, with one of Tinos’s best beaches only a few minutes’ drive away.

Evangelia knows the island inside out and was a wonderful host. We spent three amazing days in a cute, cozy cottage that felt at home in the peaceful natural surroundings, while still being comfortable. It’s right in the heart of beautiful Tinos. What an unforgettable trip.

The house left me speechless: beautiful, private, and equipped with everything we needed. Its spot in the middle of Tinos worked well, between the beach and town.
