Belvedere Zakynthos Studios

I had a wonderful stay, so I’m not sure why some people have left such bad reviews. Stefanos was warm and friendly, and even lent me his coffee maker because he knew how important my morning coffee was to me. The apartment is basic but has what you need, including air conditioning. I was traveling alone and mostly came back to sleep and shower because I wanted to see as much of the island as possible. I loved the sea view. The location worked well for me because I hired a car. Buses and taxis aren’t reliable, so without your own transport I’d stay somewhere more central. If you’re after an all-inclusive hotel with all the luxuries, this isn’t the place. My flight was canceled, so I tried repeatedly to contact the accommodation and explain that I couldn’t arrive on time. Unfortunately, nobody spoke English, so we couldn’t have a conversation. If we’d been able to communicate, I would have booked another flight and arrived later. They canceled my reservation and charged my card.

The place was clean, and the staff were very nice and always ready to help. I recommend it.

The sunrise view from the balcony was lovely, and the elevated spot above the shore brought a pleasant evening breeze. The location is convenient for beaches, a bus stop and a small market. Stefanos and his family were kind, helpful and very generous. We also ate at their kitchen in front of the property, for both breakfast and dinner. We found the prices and quality better than at the other taverns on the same street, which get mentioned more often. The pork souvlaki, Greek salad and tzatziki were excellent. We stayed at Belvedere at the end of June and had a great time. Our room had everything we needed for three people, including a small kitchen with two hotplates, a sink and the necessary supplies. It was clean, and room cleaning and bed making were included. There was a balcony as well as a window. It’s close to several beaches, and a vehicle makes getting around the island easy. We have a great memory of Greece and would happily return.
