Arion Hotel

Lena at reception really stood out. She was cheerful, helpful, offered great recommendations, and made us feel welcome throughout. The food was fresh and tasty, with lots of variety. Our clean, comfortable, well-furnished room had a spectacular view, and the location was peaceful while still close to the places we wanted to explore. Everything surpassed what we expected. We’ll be back, and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone after a top-notch stay.

Breakfast was good, and our room had an oceanfront view. Arion was a bit steep for what we usually spend, since we tend to choose cheaper places and had been staying in two- to four-star hotels on our three-week drive around Greece. But it felt like a treat, and I think it was worth it. I brought my daughter to Greece for her first visit, a Sweet 16 birthday trip, and she’s a big history buff. My kind, knowledgeable cousin from Athens helped us along the way. We’d stay here again. Recommended.

The long-haired waiter was the one bright spot, always smiling and very kind. The hotel has no parking of its own, though the manager has a reserved spot out front and was driving around wildly at 1 AM. The rooms were okay, but the drainage was poor and the balconies were small. The food was bad, especially the eggs. The manager came across as rude, hard to approach, and full of himself. It was a bad stay with poor hospitality.

The cafe employee was great, all praise to him. The hotel itself is nice, and the food was very good, though we got the same menu for four days. The manager was terribly rude and uncultured. The pool was closed to swimming for half the day because the younger guests’ enjoyment apparently bothered them. Avoid this hotel.
