There wasn’t much to do apart from hotels and taverns. We didn’t get any snow when we visited, so maybe it’s better when the slopes are open. There are plenty of forest routes to walk around.
A perfect place for a winter visit, whether you rent a house or stay in a hotel. It’s popular with Greeks in winter and during snowy weather. Be prepared to get snowed in, and a 4x4 is highly recommended.
Three lovely villages sit close together among the mountain greenery. It’s a great spot for a long weekend, relaxing, eating and drinking well, and taking excursions in nature. Ideal for hiking too. Don’t miss Doxa lake nearby.
From one side of this quiet village you see the mountains, and from the other, the sea. It’s within two hours’ drive of Athens. The village gets very busy in winter, and prices are much too high.
