Pigi Tarlampa Hotel

A great mountain retreat near Athens, run by a family who are awesome people. The rooms are amazing, with fireplaces and comfortable beds, and they’re very clean and have all the necessary amenities. Breakfast has a large buffet, but the handmade traditional Greek pies made on the premises are the crown jewel. Highly recommended.

Getting from the parking lot to the room could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. We arrived late in the evening and were shown to our room by the kind, welcoming hosts. It was clean, comfortable and dreamy, like a fairy tale. We drove down to the small town for local food and hospitality, and coffee and breakfast the next morning were wonderful. I’d definitely recommend the place to friends visiting the area.

I loved the mild weather when I visited in the last week of August. It felt summer-warm during the day, but at night I needed a blanket. The location is peaceful day and night, with tranquil surroundings and stunning views. Our room was gorgeous and clean, and Covid-19 measures were in place. The hosts were fantastic, kind, helpful and always around. A wee gem in the Corinthian mountains!

The view from our room was unique, looking out over the whole valley, and breakfast with that view was so relaxing. The room had a fireplace that made it cozy, and the staff restocked the logs every night. There’s also a radiator for heat. The hotel looks like an old inn, but it’s very well preserved and clean, and the staff are some of the friendliest. There’s a lot of parking space at the side of the hotel. If we visit Trikala again, there’s a high chance we’ll stay there.
