Kakovatos Family Homes

We came back in August 2024 and it’s still a nice place to stay. On our first visit in August 2020, Anastasia welcomed us with a delicious homemade dessert and gave us a large, nicely decorated room with all the facilities. The bathroom was very small, though, and the balcony wasn’t private. A shower hook and another trash bin would have helped with a couple of small details. Anastasia was always helpful, and she kindly sent us off with homemade olive oil as a gift. Thanks for everything.

We’ve started coming every season, and the low room price is one of the main reasons. It’s the lowest in Kakovatos, from what we found. The beach is the kind of place people already know: golden sand, clear sea, beach cafés and food, plus free sunbeds and straw umbrellas. The rooms are lovely, and Mrs. Anastasia and her family took care of everything. When we arrived with our baby, they brought eggs from their chickens to cook for the little one, and a box of oranges for morning juice. It’s also a secure spot for families, with space for children to play. The village square and its playground are right beside the rooms.

The hostess was so kind and ready to help with anything we needed. The rooms are nicely and simply decorated, with everything you need, and the location makes it easy to walk to nearby places, including the amazing Kakovatos beach. Thanks so much for the hospitality. I hope we can visit again.

Anastasia is so kind and always willing to help, and Mrs. Athanasia, the housekeeper, starts things off with a delicious handmade treat. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and fully equipped, a lovely extra for a quiet family holiday in the small seaside village of Kakovatos in Ilia. I recommend staying here without hesitation.
