Breakfast came with a view of the sea and a great range of fresh, local, tasty products. The sandy beach is right in front of the hotel, with numbered umbrellas for each room so you always have your own spot. There are two excellent traditional tavernas opposite, and more restaurants, bars and mini markets within a 5-10 minute walk. Kakovatos itself is charming, and it’s a great area for visiting Neda Waterfalls, Ancient Olympia, Kaiafas Beach and Voidokoilia Beach. We stayed at OSTRIA Kavovatos Beach in July, and it was one of the loveliest hotel stays I’ve had. Our sea-view room was a dream: really spacious, with a good-sized bathroom, a balcony with a table, chairs and an airer for swimwear, all the necessary amenities, and excellent air conditioning, which you need in the summer heat. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were so friendly, kind and helpful. It’s officially a 3-star hotel, but this family-owned business follows 5-star standards. I’d absolutely return and highly recommend it for a relaxed, welcoming, high-quality stay by the sea.

A good, clean hotel right by the beach, in a nice, quiet spot. Don’t expect anything fancy, but the service was great, and the courteous staff provided everything we needed or asked for. Covered parking was available as well.

The sea-view balcony and a nice breakfast made for a great start to the day. Our room was very clean and spacious, at least the one we were given. There’s a pleasant garden before the beach, with private umbrellas and deckchairs. A Greek taverna is right beside the hotel, and this is where the village ends. A lovely place to relax for a while: room, beach, restaurant.

We were delighted with our stay at the Ostria Hotel. From our balcony, we had a beautiful view of the sea, and the staff were courteous and gave excellent service. There’s a great Greek Taverna right across the street. My wife and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone traveling in the area.

The sandy beach is only a few metres away, and there are several taverns nearby. The location is ideal, and our very clean room had an amazing view of the sea and garden. We did have a couple of problems, though: the two single beds were a bit uncomfortable, and the window was so stiff it was almost impossible to open or close and lock, which made it hard to get the air conditioning on.
