Yannis made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and was an excellent host. Our room had everything we needed, and the pool area was clean and quiet. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The room was tidied every three days, and I was happy with the cleaning. The kitchen, though, had too few utensils, which made cooking hard, and the electricity seemed too weak for proper meals such as fish or potatoes. There was no soap, shampoo or other basic hygiene items. The view from the room was disappointing, and the property is quite far from the sea, making daily beach trips inconvenient. Some rooms far from the router had no internet. There were no mosquito nets, so we couldn’t leave doors open for air without using the air conditioning, which costs extra. The balcony doors didn’t shut properly, and loud music from the hotel went on late into the night, making it hard to rest.

The location is handy, close to the beach, town centre, supermarkets and bus stops. Hygiene wasn’t terrible, but it could have been better: a maid came to clean and change towels and sheets only every 5-6 days. The water pipes and bathroom fixtures weren’t very good, as if they were saving money wherever possible. My neighbours said their toilet flush tank didn’t work at all. There are no mosquito screens. Yanis, the owner, runs the pool bar from about 10 AM to 02:00 AM. Nearly every night he holds some kind of party for the mainly English guests, with loud disco music going until early morning. Even with the balcony door and windows firmly shut, the noise comes through, so forget getting proper sleep. If you enjoy staying up and drinking with rowdy guests, you might like it here.

Yanis was helpful and kind, as was the woman who cleaned our room. The view was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the linen was clean, with towels changed often. There’s a mini kitchen with what you need for basic food prep. I was really disappointed to find our room had no WiFi. The host didn’t think there was a problem. Maybe it’s a way to keep people drinking at the hotel bar instead of staying in their rooms, but that’s only my guess. There were so many mosquitoes we couldn’t sleep, and the steel balcony door didn’t keep them out. The bathroom was only so-so clean, and the closet stank of old, unwashed blankets. If you come to rest, this may not be the place: people at the bar got drunk and loud at night, and kids screamed by the pool in the morning. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful either.
