Savvas Hotel- Adults Only

Maids only came in once during our whole 8 night stay. After that visit, €15 cash, a necklace and other personal things were missing. When we reported it, they told us that happens in every country. The rooms were mediocre at best, and I’d had low expectations to begin with. I’ve stayed at plenty of cheaper party hotels and had a much better time. The beds were uncomfortable, the shower flooded, and the downstairs rooms backed onto a farm where animals screamed at all hours. None of us could sleep, even when extremely drunk. Right when we arrived, the reps sold us a drinks package for €170-€230, full of empty promises. They said it was a great deal and that they’d add an 8th day on the wristband for free. On our last day, we were told, “I would never say that”. We also paid an extra €50 per person for WiFi, air conditioning and the safe. Our room had no WiFi signal at all, so we had to go to reception or the pool for any connection. The booze was disgusting, and one regular bartender was a child no older than 9 or 10, pouring vodka redbulls for hotel guests. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. Don’t waste money on snacks here either: a bag of crisps costs €5, while Spar, a 30-second walk away, charges €1.20. If you enjoy being scammed and treated like you’re less than human, this trap house is for you.

Andy was nice, and I liked the drinks wristband. The rest of the stay had some real problems. The room and bathroom both smelled strange; the fridge smelled rotten, was unusable, and had hundreds of ants around it. The pool area was dirty and the sunbeds had lots of odd marks. The balcony chairs were flimsy black plastic ones, and after one broke while someone sat on it normally, they charged us 30 euro. AC cost us 300 euro total for our room of 6, and barely worked.

Savvas, thanks. I went in June and had a great time every minute, and it felt very safe then, though I can't speak for busier periods. The place is easy going, with a great location, nice staff, a fine shower, regularly cleaned beds and a good pool area. The gold wristbands cost 200€ and seem worth it if you'll have more than 6 drinks a day, since you can drink from 10am-12pm and save money compared with buying loads on the strip. Breakfast is a set menu, though, and I wouldn't pay for it. I just wanted 2 eggs on 2 toast, and they said they couldn't do that, which was disappointing.

The hotel's location near the strip is decent, and it might be fine for a few days, but there are definitely better places around. Our five-bed room had all the beds pushed together, barely enough space for our suitcases, and nowhere to get ready properly. There were ants in the room, and we were sleeping on plastic. The pool was so unclean that I didn't want to swim. Watch out for the reps, we were €180 out of pocket before the stay. I wore Crocs the whole holiday for the shower.
