The food was superb. We ordered beef ribs with tamarind, veggie risotto, and onion soup, and every dish was delicious and prepared just right. I had dinner at Mesón Panza Verde in Antigua last night. It still feels as magical as it did when I first visited more than 30 years ago. The romantic, elegant atmosphere is beautifully kept, and the staff are consistently kind and professional. A timeless experience that still lives up to its reputation.

The restaurant itself was beautiful, and the duck thigh with blackberry sauce was out of this world. The tuna tartare was so good I couldn't even wait to take a photo. We went for lunch on someone's recommendation and weren't disappointed. If we come back to Antigua, we'll definitely stay at this hotel too.

I didn't stay at the hotel, just had dinner here with my colleagues. I ordered the Shrimp Pineapple entree and loved it. The food was delicious and nicely presented, service was excellent, and there's a generous drinks menu. I'll come back next time I'm in Antigua.

I wanted a nice, romantic solo dinner by the pool, so I checked the website for availability and arrived right as dinner began at 6 p.m. The pool room was completely empty, but the hostess wouldn't seat me there. There were only two occupied tables in the whole restaurant, and I ended up in the worst spot, next to a loud table and loud servers. Those were still the only two tables occupied for the entire meal, and the pool room remained empty. Maybe I sound spoiled, but I wish I'd left for somewhere with a nicer atmosphere.

I had such high expectations and came away really disappointed. The place looks fancy and the menu sounds so good, but the food took way too long, arrived cold, and didn't taste as good as it looked on the menu. It was overpriced and the service wasn't good. They served sparkling and still water without asking, then charged Q120 for them. I wasted Q2,418.46.
