The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and both the rooms and common areas were spotless. Reception staff were always welcoming and helpful, which made the stay easy and enjoyable. Yes Please! Hostel is in a really convenient spot, just steps from great restaurants, with a beautiful volcano view. Fantastic value for the price, highly recommended!

The garden and pool are great, and the hostal itself is nice. The dorms are basic but functional. I was disappointed because they charged me twice for my stay, once at check-in and then again through the platform I booked on. When I asked them to help sort it out and reimburse me, they said they couldn’t help if I was no longer in Antigua, then stopped answering. It felt like a scam and a disguised robbery of their client.

The pool was the only good part, though I didn’t get to use it. This hostel needs an upgrade. The washroom has literally no privacy, there was no hot water, and the rooms are just bunk beds without privacy curtains.

I had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The price was great for what it offers, one of the best deals I found, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everything was clean and well maintained. It’s easy to get around from this convenient location, with restaurants and markets nearby. The volcano view was a standout, and there’s a pool and even an outdoor gym, which was a nice bonus. I met some really nice guests too, so it’s a good place to connect with other travelers. Great vibe and value. I’d come back and recommend it for the comfort, good vibes, and price!

We stayed in private room 101 for two nights in August 2025. After a month of traveling in Guatemala, including Antigua, this was the worst hostel we’d experienced. It wasn’t horrible, but we found it disappointing and wouldn’t recommend it. There are many better options in Antigua. The kitchen was well equipped, and although the room had no AC, it stayed cool and comfortable with the fan running all night. We had issues with reception, the pool hours, and the toilets. Reception staff seemed uninterested in being good hosts. They handled some administration reasonably well, though we didn’t get our wristband until the day after check-in, and they didn’t go beyond that. There were no greetings when we came or went, and staff were snappy when we asked questions. What irritated us most was the receptionist ignoring the quiet hours: after 10pm, he had a very loud phone conversation. He only lowered his voice after I got out of bed and pointed out what he was doing. The doorbell also rings throughout the whole premises when used, which could be improved. The pool is open from 10-7pm and closed after that. The gender-neutral bathrooms could be checked more often: toilet bins with used paper overflowed, and men were urinating on the rim. My girlfriend used the separate pool toilets, but those close along with the pool at 7pm. Lastly, I saw a wet rat by the pool that was clearly sick and moving very slowly. Two staff members walked past, looked at it, and didn’t remove it. It was gone only when we returned to the hostel later that day. All the issues I’ve mentioned could be improved easily.
