We’d seen that the hotel in Coban didn’t have the best ratings, so we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable we felt there. We stayed one night, and the price–quality ratio was very good. The rooms are simple but clean, especially for this price range, and the staff were friendly. We can definitely recommend it for the price.

Close to the central park, the church, and plaza del parque.

Casa Semuc sits on a hill with a view, just a stone’s throw from the central park, craft shops, and lots of restaurants, including its own. The rooms are clean, though not very big, and all the staff are friendly.

The decor is quaint, and the whole place has a lovely vibe. It feels like a home away from home. At reception, Ricardo and Jorge are patient with any questions, and Sylvia in the kitchen greets you with a sweet smile. Try her food, especially breakfast and vegetable soup. The place is cleaner than anywhere I’ve stayed so far, and I’d love to come back to see more of the city from here. Visit, you won’t regret it.

Great value, and breakfast is included and really good. Stay here if you’re visiting the magical city of Coban.
