The garden and grounds are beautiful, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Food was good, with traditional breakfast as well as international options like pizza. The nearby main road means nights aren't very quiet. There's also music during meals, which I could do without.

We spent five nights here and really enjoyed the gardens, hammocks, and pools. There are lots of places to sit among the grounds, and the cave across the street is where you can go tubing and watch bats. Getting into town takes a bit of a walk, but tuk tuks pass by often, so rides are easy. Our room, 201, had a king-size bed and lots of windows. It was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The employees were always willing to help. Breakfast had three choices, all good, and we liked the licuados. Laundry was available for a reasonable price. This is definitely the nicest and most relaxing place to stay in town.

The property looks polished from the outside, with modern, clean spaces and roomy bedrooms, but our room wasn't very practical. There was only one towel hook, and some features shown in the listing for the room type we booked weren't there. The balcony door was stiff and difficult to open. You have to drive a bit for anything beyond the restaurant, and their Semuc Champey tours cost twice what other places nearby charge. The biggest disappointment was how they treated the beautiful, well-behaved stray dogs around the grounds. Several people saw what felt like abusive treatment.

The property is gorgeous, and the rooms are exceptionally clean. They seem to allow pets if they're small, though it appears to be up to the manager. Restaurant service was slow and inattentive, but the food and drinks were great.

The grounds were well cared for, and staff hospitality and safety were good, but several things need attention. The bathrooms and sinks in the glamping area were dirty and smelled bad. Please add English signs explaining not to put toilet paper or other items in the toilet, since not everyone understands Spanish. There was also a baby tarantula in the outdoor movie area. It might be good to keep that space clear of little animals, even though nature is their home. My boyfriend and I were overcharged twice for tuk-tuk rides to and from San Agustin Lanquin. The hotel should have its own tuk tuks or set a standard fare, since these scamming practices don't help locals. They should also partner with Victor across the road, who has private river access for Q20 per person. It was so worth it. Food was a little overpriced for the quantity and quality, and drinks were expensive too. Better to eat in town and buy your own drinks to keep in your room.
