Hotel Playa Linda

We paid extra for a lake-view room expecting some peace, but the noise made that impossible. For four nights in a row, live music and microphones went on until 1:30 a.m.; the bed vibrated and the windows rattled, and earplugs didn’t help. We missed morning tours trying to catch up on sleep. The place’s “tranquil” description and photos gave us a very different impression. The room was freezing from drafty windows, with only a thin blanket, and the hot water lasted less than a minute. The pool was a small, dirty kiddie pool, and the WiFi didn’t work, so we couldn’t book transport or tours. We also had trouble getting help: there was no one at the front desk, and our WhatsApp pleas went nowhere. Management was the biggest disappointment. I’m an experienced traveler and speak the local language, but they talked down to me as if I were a “clueless tourist.” They repeatedly misled us about noise rules and said the hotel was full, even though we could see empty, quieter rooms. We eventually cut our five-night stay short and paid hundreds more for somewhere livable. It ruined our trip. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
