A lovely, relaxing beach, with a great bar serving really good food at reasonable prices and great boat drinks. The staff go out of their way to make sure you’re happy and well looked after.

We felt very welcome by the Owner and staff, and this is definitely somewhere I’d return to. It’s a newly built or fully renovated boutique-style hotel, comfortable and equipped with what you need for a stay in Roatan. Every room has a spectacular east-facing oceanfront view and a balcony. The rooms have comfortable beds and mattresses, elegant furniture, pleasant bathrooms, and well-equipped little kitchens. It’s under a five-minute drive along a gravel road from Carretera Principal, with parking on site. The Owner really knows how to set up and run a successful B&B.

We stayed March 17-21, 2025. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was good, but it’s more of a full than a queen. Ask for beach towels. I never saw breakfast or anyone eating it. Most of the food is in West Bay or West End, and getting to food and a proper beach took us over an hour each day. We might have been better off staying there. Don’t assume nearby Mahogany Beach is an option, and Sol Y Mar beach isn’t open to the public unless you buy a day pass. We drove an hour to Camp Back Beach to see it, but spent most of our time in West End and West Bay. One morning at 5:30, locals came to the condo and drank and sat on what I thought was the “private” beach. That seemed odd. If you stay nearby, Prime 504 is reasonably priced and has great steak. I’d expected a relaxing “paradise,” especially since this villa is away from the West End and West Bay crowds. Instead, loud music from the bar and upstairs area, with multiple speakers or one on the upper deck, often made it hard to relax. After a day in the sun, I wanted a cool room and a nice shower, but two of our four days the shower was cold. I emailed about the noise. Email got a better and faster response than the WhatsApp number, but the next day the music was back. You hardly see other visitors, so I thought it would be quiet and peaceful. I was usually only there from about 4 until dinner, then back at bedtime. One day I napped around 3:30 or 4, woke at 5:30, and the music was still blasting. That night it stopped at 7. The first night, after nine hours of travel and several time changes, I just wanted sleep, but a worker was blasting music after 9 pm despite the “quiet hours.” We considered leaving for somewhere else, and I honestly wanted my money back. The place has potential, but it didn’t meet our needs. Don’t bring kids who need naps, or come expecting to relax after the beach before dinner. If you don’t like country music, keep in mind that’s all they played one day. Most workers don’t speak English. We ended up staying an extra day and I stayed in West End because it was more convenient. I really wanted to love the place, but it wasn’t a match for us.

A lovely spot with kind service and excellent views. The sunrise in the morning is something special.

A big disappointment. After booking, we saw reviews saying the resort was still under construction and checked with the resort contact. They assured us it would be finished before our arrival, but the work was still going on and was quite loud during our stay. Workers and big supply trucks passed our unit and the mini dip pool all day. We’d booked a top-floor unit but got a ground-floor one. With the shades open there was no privacy, and with them closed the room had no windows. The host eventually agreed to move us upstairs, but didn’t seem to think the other issues mattered. When we asked about the construction we’d been told would be done, the response was, “you know how it is.” Several things were broken in what was supposed to be a brand new unit, and we spent hours of our vacation trying to get them fixed. The TV remote didn’t work, so after we and the staff tried for a while, they swapped it with one from another unit. The TV speakers were also broken. We were told Brian would arrive in 30 minutes to fix them. After more fiddling, Brian replaced the TV with one from another unit. There was no hot water, which made it hard to clean dishes and left us taking cool showers. The next day, staff said the supply was empty and had to be refilled. We asked several times to cancel the rest of our reservation, but the host ignored us until we started a complaint with AirBnB.
