Hotel Los Corales

We only stayed one night and needed somewhere to sleep before catching the ferry to utila the next morning. It was perfectly suitable, with a short walk to west end. The hotel is super cute, and I loved the under the sea theme. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. They called us a cab to the ferry the next morning, which we paid for, and let us leave our bags there until it was time to go.

A good option if you want to spend less and mainly need somewhere to leave your bags and return at night. The hotel was very clean, rooms were big enough for a group of 3 or 4, and the staff member I dealt with was friendly and always ready to answer questions. SUN gas station is next door and seems to be a hangout spot on the island. You can get gas, meals, snacks, groceries, medication, and use an ATM there. There's also a coffee shop, pizzeria, and an island version of a subway sub, all under one roof. The hotel is on the top floor and has no elevator, so it's not suitable if you use a wheelchair or have knee problems. It's close to downtown west end, but not right in the center. Walking there takes about 8-9 minutes, and the road has no sidewalk and feels a little dangerous because cars pass quickly. You'll need to walk there and back whenever you want to hang out, eat, drink, or go to the beach.

The rooms were freshly painted and very clean, with well-kept wood and comfortable beds. Having clean tap water matters a lot when choosing a place to stay in Roatán, and they have it. The staff were great, and they can book activities or point you toward providers. The only drawback is the location outside the urban area, with roads that aren’t very pedestrian-friendly.

My plans had to change because I got sick, and the hotel kindly accommodated that without charging extra. The staff are super friendly. Thank you so, so much for being so kind. I hope that good karma comes back to you and brings you even more luck. Sending love.
