Ibagari Boutique Hotel

The restaurant was a highlight, with excellent food from breakfast to dinner, imaginative specials, and a lovely Sunday brunch. Poolside service was just as good. Norma and Sara brought water promptly, and the whole team seemed to anticipate what we needed without hovering. We were also grateful for the water taxi access included in the resort fee until 6 pm, which made exploring the island easy and stress-free. We dove four of our five days with Duna Divers, conveniently based on the property. The team handled all the gear setup, boat preparation, and evening rinsing, making it one of the best resort dive operations we’ve experienced. Keenu made every dive and drift pickup smooth, while our guide Agustina was informative and attentive, with the best equipment setup and dive support we’ve had. We felt well cared for in and out of the water. The sites were beautiful and varied, with great swim-throughs and biodiversity. After diving, a short walk from the dock took us to an onsite jacuzzi, where staff soon arrived with water and cervezas. Luis and Christopher at the concierge desk welcomed us, introduced us to the resort, and arranged transportation and island activities with professionalism and real kindness. Their help kept everything seamless throughout our stay. We’ve just returned from five unforgettable nights at Ibagari Boutique Hotel. Service was flawless from check-in to departure, and the combination of luxury, personal care, good dining, and world-class diving made for an elevated, easy tropical getaway. We’d recommend it to anyone.

The food, service, and view are why I usually come to Luna Muna when I visit the island, and my previous visits have been fine. But my visit on January 31st at 5:38pm was deeply uncomfortable. I was with someone who lives on the island. After we came in and chose a table as usual, a staff member abruptly asked if we had a reservation without even properly greeting us. The manner felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which was surprising after my past experiences. I was told reservations were required after 6 PM, even though it wasn’t 6 yet. I’ve never been asked about a reservation on earlier visits, so the inconsistency left me disappointed and uneasy. It made me question whether I was treated this way because I was with a local. That thought unsettled me. I feel horrible that my friend was left feeling belittled, and I’m deeply embarrassed to return. So sad.

The hotel is beautiful and so peaceful, and the staff were amazing and friendly. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Ibagari, and the restaurant is amazing too.

The service and staff were the highlight of our stay. We tried three different places in Roatan, and Ibagari was our favorite by far. It was a wonderful experience all around, and we’d definitely stay there again if we return to Roatan.
