Sea Breeze Inn

We stayed here after checking in on 2/14, and the bathroom had no hot water. I reported it first thing on 2/15. The hotel tried to fix it, but afterward we had no running water at all. We spent several hours the next day trying to get hold of someone. When the owner finally spoke with us, he was rude, argumentative, and dismissive. He said they’d been dealing with water problems for at least three days, so the hotel knew about them before we arrived and didn’t tell us. He contradicted himself more than once and still refused to refund us, despite the conditions. We packed up and moved to another hotel. Then, after we’d left, we got several messages saying we’d have to come back in person to collect cash if we wanted a refund, instead of having it handled through our credit card or Booking.com. That felt highly unprofessional and raised serious concerns about how the hotel does business. I took the issue to Booking.com, but they couldn’t reach anyone at the property. Even with clear evidence of the hotel’s negligence and poor communication, Booking.com offered only a small travel credit rather than a proper refund. The hotel has also kept avoiding my messages and won’t take responsibility. The whole experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. Guests should be able to count on honest information, basic amenities, and respectful service, and we got none of that. I strongly advise people to stay somewhere else.
