Apart Hotel K-Lisma

If you're coming to San Pedro Sula, stay well away from this hotel. The rooms are run-down, and the mold smell in them is overpowering. Meals and service are limited. The price was very reasonable, but I can't see any other benefit to staying here.

It felt more like a motel than a hotel, although the rooms are spacious. It's a bit outside the city, but I felt fairly safe there. Drinks at the pool bar are cheap. The waitresses in the club room were rude and lazy.

Elisa is wonderful, really friendly and focused on service. The other woman wasn't as friendly, but the pool, bar, beds, security, and included breakfast were all great. For the price, you get a lot compared with similar hotels.

The room itself was large and excellent, and the price was very reasonable compared with other hotels nearby. We stayed because it's close to the airport, but there's little around it and no easy access to anything. I got the impression the property isn't really trying to make money and may be operating for other reasons. We couldn't get dinner at the restaurant because it wasn't open. When it did seem to open in the late afternoon, I tried to order a club sandwich, but they were out of bread and the bakery was closed. Two other couples and we ended up ordering pizza delivery in the lobby. It was pretty funny, since we all would have eaten at the restaurant if it had been open and had healthy choices on the menu. The pool is grand, but needs a deep clean. Green algae was growing underwater on the metal fixtures. Staff service was very poor, apart from the senior woman who seemed to work constantly. The others didn't seem to care about customer service. Expect to be underwhelmed by everything except the room.
