Hotel Boutique Casa Jardines

I didn't stay. They offered me a room only if I agreed not to use one of its beds, which makes no sense when you're paying for a room you can't use fully. It looked like a nice place, but the prices and organization seemed irregular.

It's a small place, but I liked being close to so many other businesses. The breakfast arrived cold, pancakes, egg and sausage, and seemed to have been made well before it reached the table. Cecilia at reception was very friendly and attentive. The place needs cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. It was my first visit, and next time I'll book a better room in advance.

The whole hostel floor was filthy, and the air conditioning in my second room didn't work, so I sweated all night. That room's toilet was disgusting, with urine and hair around the bowl. I had to switch rooms twice: first because the room was noisy and smelled bad from the pipes, then because of those conditions. They don't charge everyone the same price. What can you expect from a place where one person is left in charge of absolutely everything? They exploit her.

It's still a very good option in San Pedro Sula, and the prices remain competitive. But after coming back to this hostel several years later, I could tell it wasn't what it used to be. The attention to detail has gone, and they have a lot of work ahead if they want it to feel like it did a few years ago.
