It felt safe here, with security opening the main entrance and keeping track of who was allowed in. The price was very reasonable, and I’d stay again. I’ve even recommended it to a family member planning to come soon in 2023. I think it works for solo travelers, couples, or groups. It’s only a few minutes on foot from the US Embassy and near a gas station with several food choices inside. This is a hostel with private rooms and bathrooms. My room was clean and a decent size, with everything I needed, though nothing fancy and only a fan for cooling. There’s a huge shared kitchen, several common areas, TV spaces, and outdoor porches where you can relax and look over the city.

The room was decent for the price, but mine was right beside the laundry machines, which ran all night. The cleaning ladies were chanting, and staff were making noise at night too, so sleep was awful. I booked a private room for peace and paid 25 Usd, which really wasn’t worth it. They also asked me for another 5 Usd, 100 lempiras, to check out 30 minutes later. That’s ridiculous, especially since they hadn’t told me beforehand. A hotel would honestly have been much better. I didn’t meet any other travelers either, which was the reason I chose a hostel. The man at reception, the only one who spoke English, seemed annoyed when I asked about tours and similar things.

The rooms are clean, and the neighborhood feels safe. The owner and staff are really kind, too. I loved relaxing on the lovely rooftop and would absolutely recommend staying here! :)
