The terrace is spacious and looks out toward the sea, and the house was spotless and very well equipped. There are two air conditioners, plus a kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, dishes and cutlery. The bathroom has a washer, shower and hairdryer. It felt a bit like being at home. The owner met us at the agreed time, handed over the key and showed us around. After giving us a chance to unpack, he came back when arranged with a map and plenty of useful local information, from shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment to beaches, coastal sights and places farther away. He was kind and helpful, and even left us a small bottle of local olive oil as a gift. We thought it was good value for money. I’d happily recommend it, and I’m sure I’ll come back.

There are apartments in several sizes, from two to five people, which worked well for travelling with friends. You can grill in the inner garden and eat outside on the terraces, and the apartments have air conditioning. The location is handy for Banjole beach, and it’s about a 10-minute drive from Pola, roughly between the city and the Kamenjak reserve (Premantura).
