Family Resort del Mar

We had a great time here for nine days in September, though the hotel was nearly always full. The reception area is lovely and there are three entrances, one main entrance by a small lift at the front and two side entrances. It's easy to get to and packed with family amenities. There is a kids' club and an arcade area for toddlers, plus a gaming room full of PlayStations. The hotel was very clean, and the pool was easy to reach from the first floor. We were lucky to have a side room where the pool was right outside the lift. There are several restaurants nearby, some just a couple of minutes' walk away. We tried the hotel's restaurant, but I'd suggest Konoba Pap next door instead. The food was extraordinary, and we had a lovely dinner right by the sea. There are also two children's playgrounds just outside. A great place to visit with a family.

The kitchen had everything we needed except a dishwasher. The rooms were clean and well equipped, the air conditioning worked properly, and our balcony looked out over the bay. The staff were friendly and helpful too. When our child clogged the sink, they had it sorted within 15 minutes. We loved our stay and will definitely come back next year. Premantura national park is one of the most beautiful places I've seen, especially if you enjoy nature. I'd book the entry ticket online beforehand to avoid the queue.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and we got fresh towels and toilet paper every two days, which kept things tidy enough. Sadly, the air conditioning didn't work. We told reception, but it wasn't fixed during our stay, and the nights were tough because of it. The bar team were great, always friendly and professional, with quick service. It was lovely to stop for a cold drink on hot days. Ricardo and Mohamed, the animators, were another highlight: they ran Water Ball games every day, and both adults and kids enjoyed them. Their enthusiasm was infectious. We spent a week here and had a fantastic time overall. It felt like a proper four-star hotel, with a high standard in most areas. We'd recommend it and would love to return. If the air conditioning gets fixed, it'd be perfect.

The beach nearest the hotel wasn't especially clean, and the water was muddy. Centinera, the closest decent beach, was about a ten-minute walk away but very crowded even on weekdays. The hotel itself was noisy at times, with kids running around after 11 pm. There wasn't much outdoor space, and no safe area for children to play or ride bikes. The main road runs uncomfortably close to the building. We had booked two rooms, but no parking space was reserved for ours. In the room, the furniture and fixtures needed repairs: bathroom pipes leaked, and the stove knob only worked on the maximum setting, making it hard to cook. The fan and laundry room weren't clean, and one room smelled like cat urine.
