Apartments Ivana

We were so pleased with our stay at Apartments Ivana. It’s beautifully placed, with views of the lovely mountains and the sea. The owner and his daughter were warm, helpful and genuinely hospitable. We highly recommend this apartment hotel.

We had a great time here. The apartment was comfortable, very clean, and a pleasant place to stay. The owner was helpful and friendly, so we really recommend it!

It was lovely chatting with Ivan at reception, which was staffed much of the time. He’s very knowledgeable and proud of the olives he grows, and I enjoyed hearing his stories. The self-catering apartments were quiet and very clean, and sitting on the balcony with a book and a drink while looking out over the sea was a treat. The location worked well for us: bus stops were a three minute walk, mini markets around ten minutes, and the beach took about 10-15 minutes depending how quickly you went down the hill. Coming back up that hill in 32 degree heat was a real slog, though. We found it best to tackle it in four stages. Baska Voda is beautiful, clean and safe.

We had a friendly welcome, a cold beer and water waiting in the fridge, and lots of useful local tips from the host. The apartments have everything you need. We stayed for seven nights at the end of September and into October. Bus stops are within walking distance, and there’s a lovely walk into town. There are beautiful mountain views on one side and gorgeous sea views on the other. On a clear night you can even see the Milky Way with the naked eye, though it would be better with a camera. The apartments sit at the top of a moderately steep street, so they may not suit anyone with walking difficulties, especially as there are no lifts. If you’re dropped at the bus stop coming from Split, walk 200 m back along the road, then go about 20 m down the steep road to reach the apartments.
