Being only 10 to 15 meters from the rocky beach was easily the best part for us. We loved being able to get straight to the sea. The apartment was spotless, with lots of towels, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The little terrace was great too, tucked along a side street where it felt completely private. Noise from the bar downstairs got loud now and then, but it didn’t bother us much, and we slept with the windows open. We did get the occasional visit from various arachnids. Getting there with luggage was awkward. The parking area is about 700 meters away, and there are lots of steep steps along the way. You can briefly stop about 250 meters from the apartment, but check-in and checkout still involved carrying our bags. At first, the owner led us from the parking bay along a long, rocky route. We later found a shorter, smoother way, and weren’t sure why we hadn’t been shown it before, maybe it was an oversight. The apartment is lovely, but works best for a couple, or up to three single people willing to share a bed and sofa. There’s a bedroom, a living room that opens into a hallway and kitchen, and a bathroom with a hairdryer and a washing machine that only partly worked. In the kitchen we had a stove, fridge, kettle, coffee maker, dishes, and cutlery, but no oven or microwave. The living room has a decent air conditioner. We weren’t given proper blankets, just a large sheet and bedspread, so we asked for an extra duvet cover. The basics are there, but it isn’t especially comfortable.
